scoundrel

“What do you play?”
“Guitar.”
“Not a bass?”
“No, a guitar.”
“Thank God I heard you played bass.”
“Nope.”
“Rhythm or lead?”
“Rhythm. I wanted to play lead but I had to be realistic.”
“Realistic?”
“I can’t play lead.”
“Understood.”
“I sing too, in my band.”
“Cool. You’ve got a voice.”
“Thanks. Who told you I played a bass?”
“I don’t know. Someone told me you did.”
“The scoundrel.”
“What do you play?”
“Gibson Les Paul.”
“Good choice.”
“So you don’t like bass players”
“Nah.”
