One night of excess was all the young man had to give, and in that brief flash, he bought me, through friends if not cash, a drink, stood me a shot, praised my song and for that may he ever be remembered, a true Plano hero. In my mind, I watch the four horsemen mount their bikes, turn out of the sickly lit lot rolling in a line down the wide road to the highway rising into the broad dark Texas sky.
