I must admit to measuring these friends in two ways. First, by the quality of their vocals, an axis some even made an effort to try. For some, aficionados, only drank and listened while others sang but lacked any discernible skill beyond enthusiasm. Secondly, by the quality of their weed, an axis only the select very few bothered to compete upon, for like most drunks, many had no need to enjoy the subtle pleasures of cannabis, preferring the hammer blow of alcohol to dull their minds.
