dashing reality

A blankness of mind takes hold. Thoughts cease to serve purpose, staring into the void, drained of reality in the slow progress of accelerated attention, eyes losing humanity, sounds ceasing to control the space, the words exiting thought, the beat of rhythms circling the brain in familiar patterns, evoking motion lurking below any conscious frame of mind. Checking my breath to inhale a garage in Canoga Park, another time, another age, dreams overwhelming memories, dashing reality into slender slices.
